From 9 January 2023, the Atrium Gallery will be buzzing with your stories. Your friends’ stories. Strangers’ stories. And you can read them all, here’s how…
The new exhibition, Wish You Were Here, centres around storytelling and in particular, explores stories of life in Bournemouth through a playful and light-hearted lens.
Featuring site-responsive artwork, this interactive exhibit connects people via the stories we share and the places that link us together. Wish You Were Here showcases the catharsis of storytelling and invites you to echo the sentiment by sharing your own.
How it works:
Pick a postcard. Read the prompt written on the back. Describe fond memories, share your secrets, or recall your best-loved tales. Find a spare peg and share your story in the gallery. You can hang your postcard up for all to see or you can submit it anonymously.
The exhibition is running from 9 January to 10 March 2023, and you can drop in to the gallery in Poole House throughout its run to submit your story.
Private view
Friday 13 January 2023.
Join us for an evening of story sharing with friends and strangers alike (don't worry, you can submit stories anonymously!). There will be plenty of postcards to write on, music, beverages and more interactive surprises. , or if you simply want to find out more .
