Comfy spaces
Following student feedback we'veÌýdesignedÌýour new comfy corner on the first floor of The Sir Michael Cobham Library as a place for youÌýto relax, chat, catch upÌýor get lost in a good book.ÌýCome andÌýcheck it outÌýsoon.
There are also two new places to get your caffeine (or caffeine-free) fix in our library on Talbot Campus.
The Coffee Cabin, right next to the helpdesk on our ground floor, isn’t just your normal coffee vending machine, serving barista-quality brews from freshly ground beans. It’s available any time the library is open.
There’sÌýa newly opened CaffèÌýNero on the ground floor, where you can enjoy award-winning Italian coffee while you catch up with friends or take a break. There’s an entrance inside the library and also from the courtyard outside.

Peer Assisted LearningÌý
Peer Assisted LearningÌý(PAL)Ìýis run by theÌýLibrary & Learning SupportÌýteam and promotesÌýpeer-to-peer support between students on the same programme. Students in their first year of study will usually receive regular PAL sessions with their designated PAL leader from the year above. PAL leaders facilitate discussion, generate activities and tasks to develop your learning and share their experience and knowledge.
