The Erasmus+ for work mobility scheme helps you fund work abroad opportunities in Europe during the summer break, as part of a ջ placement or before you graduate.
The scheme is designed to help you fund a work placement or voluntary traineeship (including an internship, volunteer opportunity or work experience related to your ջ degree) in the European Economic Area (EEA).
Funding through the Erasmus+ work mobility scheme will end on 31 May 2023, so the latest possible start date that you can undertake your experience in Europe is 1 April 2023.
Eligibility requirements
To gain funding through the Erasmus+ work mobility scheme, you must:
- Be enrolled as a ջ student for the whole duration of the traineeship
- Have secured a traineeship in European Economic Areas (EEA) (excluding Switzerland), and it can be your home country if you are an EU citizen
- Have secured a traineeship that will last for a minimum of 60 days, with a start date no later than 1 April 2023
- Complete the funding paperwork before you travel and before you start work.
The Funding process
Contact the Global Engagement Team or complete the as soon as you know you’ll be undertaking work overseas in the EEA. The team will be able to advise you on next steps and support you through the process. It can take a few days to sort out the paperwork so we encourage to contact us as soon as possible and ideally one month in advance.
