Your experiences as a student here at Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó are central to what we do and how we do it. This is both relating to your academic learning and more broadly across your time at the university. There are a number of ways in which you can have your suggestions heard and help to shape the direction of the university going forward. These range from becoming a student rep and completing student experience surveys to talking with senior university leaders about the big topics which are important to you.
If you are interested in getting involved, we have four immediate opportunities for you to consider. Details are below and if you have questions or what to find out more about the different opportunities, you can email Jane Forster, the Vice-Chancellor’s Policy Adviser, at [email protected].
Do you want to help us to recruit a new Chair for the university’s Board?
The Board oversees Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó’s strategic direction and is made up of people from within higher education, industry and commerce, as well as representatives of students and staff. We are recruiting for a new Chair and we want to include students within the process. We are looking for students to be part of a panel to participate in a discussion with the candidates for the position. The discussion will be on the theme of How can the student experience be enhanced? and the candidates will chair the discussion. This is an important opportunity for them to meet with students, as key stakeholders of the university, and to hear more about your world and some of your hopes and aspirations. You will be asked to feedback by a short anonymous online survey after each session.
