You can’t use the Open Access Centre in Poole House between 4 October – 8 November, but the library will be open 24/7 for you during this time.
From Friday 1 October, work will begin to replace the roof next to Kimmeridge House. This means that between Monday 4 October and Monday 8 November the Open Access Centre (OAC) on the ground floor of Poole House (PG22) will be closed to allow the work to take place. During this time the computer equipment in The Sir Michael Cobham Library will be available 24/7.
The first phase of work will see scaffolders on site from Friday 1 October and then work to the roof will begin on Monday 4 October which is likely to be completed by Monday 8 November.
While the Open Access Centre is closed on Talbot Campus, The Sir Michael Cobham Library will be open 24/7 for you to use the PCs and Macs as well as the study spaces and laptop loans. You can also use the study spaces and computer equipment in the Weston Library on Lansdowne Campus. The Library will use this time to gather your feedback to see whether they should be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during term-time on a more permanent basis in the future.
