Overall the 2020/21 ‘season’ has been full of challenges and changing circumstances. To all of our TeamÖ÷²¥ÓÕ»ó athletes we would like to say thank you for your patience and understanding during such a strange and uncertain time.
This week saw our final TeamÖ÷²¥ÓÕ»ó training sessions taking place. It has been fantastic to have some of our teams back in a training environment and we hope you’ve enjoyed being back with your teammates. We are extremely thankful for the efforts of our captains, committees and coaches in helping to facilitate these covid secure sessions and we would also like to add a special thanks to our captains for being our point of contact throughout this year;

2020/21 Celebrations
Whilst sporting fixtures were not able to take place this year some of our elite athletes were lucky enough to participate in individual events. With this in mind we would like to award the following students University Colours (University Colours recognise outstanding ability, commitment and dedication and also signifies a student has been selected for national representation in their sport);
Marcus Tressler (Sailing) – Achieved 5th place at the World 470 Sailing Championships. Furthermore, Marcus has been training and competing for the past few months in Vilamoura, Portugal at the highest senior international level - achieving 5th at the Senior World Championships and 15th at the Senior Europeans. Megan Stovell (Cheerleading) – Selected to compete in the USASF Cheerleading Worlds 2020 as part of the England squad, which will now take place in 2022 in Florida.
Richard Cheetham (Golf) - 1st place in the national Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»óCS individual tour event in Birmingham
Lui Craddock (Golf) – 2nd place (men’s) in the national Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»óCS individual tour event in Birmingham
Rachel Goodwin (Golf) – 2nd place (women’s) in the national Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»óCS individual tour event in Birmingham
Matt Hibbs (Golf) – 3rd place in the national Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»óCS individual tour event in Birmingham
Joe Swaine (Golf) – 4th place in the national Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»óCS individual tour event in Birmingham
