Regular testing for Covid-19 is something that we can all do to help keep ourselves, our loved ones and the wider community safe. Our on-campus testing site is open three days a week at Talbot Campus for drop-in sessions. From today, 24 May, as an alternative, you can pick up some home test kits for you to use before you head off to campus or out to socialise with friends.
You can collect the kits from either the test site in Kimmeridge House on Talbot Campus during the hours it is open for testing or from Arts University Bournemouth halls of residence, Madeira Road, BH1 1AT each day between 9am and 9pm. Just come along with your student ID card (or alternative form of ID that shows you are a Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó student) and wearing a face covering (unless you are exempt). So we can provide as many people as possible with kits, we have limited this to one pack per person. Each box contains seven tests and, as the recommendation is that you test yourself twice a week, each box will last you 3.5 weeks.Â
The tests are quick and easy to do at home, but why not get tested a few times in our test centre to get used to the process, before you start testing yourself at home? Once you have done each test, you simply need to with the NHS.
If you can’t get to either collection point during their opening hours, don’t forget that you can also get home test kits from pharmacies, such as the one on Holdenhurst Road and at Asda in Lansdowne, Boots, and the pharmacy at Gillett Road by Talbot Campus. You can too.
