Microsoft will shortly be issuing an Edge upgrade for Windows 10. This upgrade will be replacing the existing Edge internet browser with a new version that offers built-in security and new features to enhance the .
From 23 – 30 April the upgrade will be applied to all Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó Windows 10 devices - the Edge internet browser icon will be updated to reflect this change.
The old version of Edge will remain installed in the background until the standard monthly Windows update when it will automatically be removed.
If you have favourites saved in your Edge browser, IT Services recommends that you to ensure that you do not lose the them during the upgrade.
Although there will be a slight delay in the removal of the old version of Edge we recommend you complete this task before 23 April – if you have any problems or queries about saving your favourites, please contact the IT Service Desk on 01202 965515.
Following this upgrade, if you notice any issues that you didn’t previously have with Edge, please report them to the for investigation.
