As part of its , the Government has asked that there is a phased approach to students returning to university after the Christmas break. This is to reduce the risk of transmission of the virus. The Government has also asked that universities provide the opportunity for you to get tested when you arrive back in January.
Therefore, our on-campus testing facility will be open from 4 January to 8 February to support your safe return to campus. This is for anyone without and, as in December, the Government is asking that you get tested twice within three to five days.
The testing schedule is now available and we are asking you to for a particular day and time.
If you have face-to-face teaching on-campus during January, please check the testing schedule on the website. Where possible, we have prioritised week commencing 4 January for your tests, unless you do not need to be on campus until later in January.
If you do not have face-to-face teaching on-campus during January and are not listed on this testing schedule, please book your tests from 11 January onwards.
When , please refer to:
- The testing schedule to check if your course is included in the prioritised list for testing between 4 and 9 JanuaryÂ
- Your teaching timetable, which will show if you have any on-campus sessions that you need to attend
- Your exam or assessment timetable, so you can plan your travelling around these key dates.
If you need or wish to be on campus for a particular date, please plan enough time for travelling back to Bournemouth and getting tested as soon as you can.
You can find out more about the on-campus testing on our website and in our specific testing FAQs.
