As many of you complete your assessments for the academic year, you may be considering when to return to Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó to collect any belongings and move out of your accommodation.
The now allows you to return to your student accommodation to pick up belongings and return any keys to your provider.
To limit your risk, we ask that only one person from the family home comes to help you when moving out. Also, please ensure that this person does not enter your student accommodation - bring your belongings to the front door for your family member to help move them to your vehicle.
Please read the following guidance on how you can ensure the safety of yourself and others depending on your type of accommodation.
If you live in Home Park, Dorchester House, Student Village or Unilet:
We ask that you do not return unless you have a pre-arranged date and time to do so. You will be able to book a date and time via the Accommodation Portal. An email with instructions on how to do this has been sent to you. If you have not received this then please email [email protected] who can resend it.
As you still have a contract for your student accommodation, your belongings are safe and secure until the end of your contract period. There is therefore no rush for you to return and collect your belongings.
If you live in a shared student house:
We recommend that you liaise with your other housemates to plan a date and time to collect belongings individually to avoid each other at the property.
If you live in any other hall of residence:
There will be a managed system for you to return to collect your belongings. If you have not already been contacted by your landlord/operator then contact them direct for instructions on how you can safely conduct this activity.
Once you have gathered your belongings please make sure you leave your accommodation clean, dispose of all rubbish and hand in all keys.
