Jade Levell (Lecturer in Criminology at Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó) has won a significant research grant form the EU Horizons fund to lead a team at Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó as part of a wider EU funded project. The Other Side of the Story: Perpetrators in Change is a two-year project in partnership with organisations in Greece, Cyprus, Italy and Romania.
The ultimate aim of the OSSPC project is to prevent further violence and change violent behavioural patterns by increasing the capacity of professionals to support DVA perpetrators to change. OSSPC will achieve this through the following activities: - Investigate, map, and comparatively analyse the current work with perpetrators in the participating countries; estimate the scale of the problem; provide a needs assessment and; discovering potential referral routes, suggesting relevant perpetrator programmes.
The team that will be working on this project from Bournemouth are associated with the Seldom Heard Voices research group and include Jade Levell (PI), Professor Colin Pritchard, Dr Jane Healy, Dr Terri Cole and a dedicated research assistant.
