Wednesday 16 October isÌý#Restart a Heart Day. ThisÌýis part of an internationalÌýcampaignÌýto raise awareness of cardiac arrest and teach people how to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó is taking partÌýinÌýthisÌýinitiative organising our very ownÌý#Restart a Heart DayÌý±ð±¹±ð²Ô³Ù.
The event will take place onÌýWednesdayÌý16 October from 10am-3pmÌýon ourÌýTalbot Campus, in the courtyard area outside the Student CentreÌý(weather permitting).
We will haveÌýpractitioners, paramedic students and first aiders demonstrating/teaching basic life support skills toÌýÖ÷²¥ÓÕ»ó students,ÌýmembersÌýof staff and visitors. We will also have CPRÌývideos,ÌýVR gadgets with cardiac arrest themed activities,Ìýour new range of manikinsÌýforÌýpractising your skills along with defibrillators and monitors providing real-time feedback.
This is open to the whole Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»óÌýcommunity as we would likeÌýas many people as possible to learn this life saving skill. It only takes five minutes and you may be able to save a life.
