Over the next few months we'll be upgrading our network infrastructure across Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó. The project aims to update our ageing hardware and to improve the speed, reliability and security of the wired and wireless networks.
The migration to the new network will be taking place from now until the end of June 2019. The work to do this will be taking place either on a Thursday evening or a Saturday to minimise disruption to students and staff.
The next set of updates is due to take place on Saturday 16 March between 8am-5pm and will affect the following buildings at Talbot Campus:
°Â±ð²â³¾´Ç³Ü³Ù³óÌý±á´Ç³Ü²õ±ð
- All rooms on the 4th floor
- Rooms W323 to W336 on the third floor
- Rooms W234 to W250 on the second floor
The Sir Michael Cobham Library - all floors of the tower
There will be no connectivity in these rooms between 8am and 5pm. However, students should be aware that there is the potential for other rooms in Weymouth House and the Sir Michael Cobham Library to also be offline during this time. This will impact the ability to log in to Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó systems, as well as telephony and other devices that try to connect to our network during.
All students and staff working in Weymouth House & Library Tower need to ensure their network devices are logged off (but not switched off) before the scheduled work takes place.
