The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) launched a into the racial harassment of staff and students in publicly funded Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in December 2018.
The inquiry is examining how effective the routes for reporting racial harassment at universities are and how effectively HEIs deal with any such reports. The EHRC is Great Britain’s national equality body. It works to promote and uphold equality and human rights ideals and laws across England, Scotland and Wales. It is asking students and staff at universities to share their experiences of racism to help the inquiry.
The EHRC wants to hear from you if you experienced, witnessed or helped in an incident of racial harassment in a HEI (either as a member of staff or a student) in England, Scotland or Wales after September 2015. It also wants to hear from you if you have other information relevant to this inquiry.Â
