BFX Festival Director Sofronis Efstathiou said, “One of the reasons we organise the BFX Festival every year is to teach and enthuse new generations about visual effects, animation and gaming. We all love movies and games, and the UK has a major industry in these areas, with good, well-paid jobs for people who are passionate about these industries. The Family Weekend is a great chance to have a look at visual effects and games, we’ll have loads of fun, but it might also be a chance to explore a future career with your children.â€
The BFX Family Weekend is a part of the BFX Festival, which takes place every year in Bournemouth. The main Festival this year includes a behind-the-scenes look at some of the largest movies of 2018, including Ralph Breaks the Internet, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Avengers: Infinity War. Professionals from across the world, and organisations such as Disney, ILM and MPC, will be speaking about their work.
