These opportunities are a part of the – which has been developed with employers to help you discover and demonstrate your potential to work in a truly global way, crossing physical and cultural boundaries to deliver outstanding results in your studies and the workplace. Options can vary, from a semester of study or work placement abroad to shorter internships, volunteering, summer schools, short courses, or conferences around the world.
The festival will offer an overview of all international activities, funding and services available on-campus in order to provide Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó students with the set of skills which is essential in today’s globalised world. Gain a better understanding of the employability benefits these activities can provide through a speaker series including:

- A panel of key members of staff and students strongly engaged in internationalisationÂ
- The Global Engagement Mobility team
There will be also a number of networking stalls and three interactive workshops. Each of the below workshop sessions will run for 60min and you are required to register for one of the three workshops by obtaining an additional ticket should you wish to attend.Â

Interactive Workshops:
Understanding Innovation in China
This workshop will help our students to understand the nature and context of innovation taking place in China - the 2nd largest economy in the world, and its implications on global employability in the 21st century. In addition to the introduction of Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó’s China Innovation Hub and our partners in China, we will also invite two special speakers: Dr Milena Bobeva, Faculty of Management, MBA Director, who led the Destination China 2016 and a student representative from 2016 Destination China summer school to share their experiences from both academic and student perspectives.
India: The Colourful Land of Wonderful Opportunities
This session allows you to have a closer look at India, one of the most diverse, dynamic, and colourful nations in the world. It will outline the opportunities that the world’s fastest growing economy offers graduates from across the world. Through an interactive exercise, you will get to share what you already know about India, you will hear from Indians and you will learn about Destination India - the student exchange programme that allows you to visit the country and one of the premier universities in India.
Introduction to ASEAN: Beyond Beaches and Temples
Known for its gorgeous beaches and tourist hotspots, the ASEAN region in Southeast Asia is the equivalent of the world's sixth largest economy and one of its fastest growing regions. This interactive workshop will provide an introduction to the dynamic countries and societies of the region and give an overview of the opportunities for Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó students to go and experience the learning and working environments in these countries. We will also hear from Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó students who have spent time in the region on mobility programmes and supporting Ö÷²¥ÓÕ»ó’s first global Festival of Learning in Malaysia in June 2016.
